Our review
Smart light bulbs used to cost $30-50 each. These Linkind bulbs are under $6 per bulb in the 4-pack, and they do everything: 16 million RGB colours, tunable white (1800K-6500K), music sync, 104 preset scenes, scheduling, and voice control via Alexa and Google Home. No hub required.
Setup takes about 45 seconds per bulb — screw in, open the AiDot app, connect. The dual WiFi + Bluetooth connection means even if your WiFi drops, Bluetooth keeps the bulbs controllable locally. Music sync uses your phone's microphone to pulse colours with the beat — 4 preset modes (Party, Dynamic, Calm, Auto Rhythm). The AI assistant 'Dotis' lets you type 'I need a party mood' and it generates a light scene.
800 lumens at 9W replaces a 60W traditional bulb. The 25,000-hour lifespan means years of daily use. Group control lets you manage all bulbs in a room simultaneously.
The downsides: requires 2.4GHz WiFi only — won't connect to 5GHz. Not compatible with traditional dimmer switches (use the app instead). The 5% one-star rate includes connectivity issues. And the AiDot app can be clunky compared to premium brands like Philips Hue. But at under $6 per bulb for a Philips Hue-level feature set, the value is extraordinary.

FAQ
Does it need a hub?
No — connects directly to your 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth. No hub, bridge, or additional hardware required.
Does it work with dimmer switches?
No — do not use with traditional dimmer switches (may cause flickering or buzzing). Control brightness through the app or voice commands instead.
How does music sync work?
Open the AiDot app, enable Music Sync mode. The app uses your phone's microphone to detect music and pulses the bulb colours to the beat. Four preset modes available.
Can I set schedules?
Yes — schedule bulbs to turn on at sunset, change to warm white at bedtime, and turn off at a set time. Wake-up mode simulates sunrise gradually.
