Our review
Cleaning gel is one of those cheap gadgets that's both genuinely satisfying and genuinely useful. You knead the soft putty into a ball, press it into a dusty car air vent, cup holder or around the buttons, and when you peel it away the dust, crumbs and grit come with it — into all the narrow gaps a cloth or vacuum can't reach. It's reusable until it darkens, works on keyboards, printers and other electronics too, and at under five dollars it's an easy impulse buy.
Honest expectations, because the reviews are genuinely mixed (4.0 stars, with about 13% one-star). The gel is soft and slime-like, so if you over-knead it or leave it sitting it can turn sticky and leave little residue bits you have to pick back up — and a few people couldn't stop it sticking to their hands at all. Don't wash it with water (it's a leave-in product), keep it away from heat, and store it sealed or it dries out — one reviewer even had theirs grow mould after sitting damp. Used as intended on dry, water-resistant surfaces it's a brilliant, oddly addictive little cleaner; just treat it as a cheap consumable, not a premium tool.
