Our review
This was the gadget I was most sceptical of, and it's now the one I recommend most. Two magnetic pads grip through the glass — one stays in your hand inside, one rides along on the outside — so a single pass wipes both faces of the window at once. No ladder, no leaning out of an upstairs window to reach the outside, and no more giving up on the panes you can't safely get to.
The magnets are genuinely strong; once they snap together through the pane they don't slip or drift while you work the handle in straight, steady strokes, and a safety cord keeps the outer pad attached if it ever pulls loose. The pads are reusable and washable with spares in the box, so a quick spritz of glass cleaner on each side is all it needs.
It does take a few minutes to get the feel for it — slow, even strokes give the cleanest finish — and it's happiest on a flat, standard pane: very thick double-glazing can be wider than the magnets are rated for, and window bars or deep-set frames stop the outer pad tracking properly. On a normal window, though, it's the easiest genuinely streak-free clean I've found, and it turns the upstairs and conservatory windows you used to dread into a quick job.

FAQ
Is it hard to use?
There's a real learning curve — expect streaks on your first window until you get the slow, steady, overlapping stroke down.
Will the outer pad fall?
It can separate if you move too fast, which is why it ships with a safety cord connecting the two pads — always use it above ground level.
What glass thickness does it fit?
It's adjustable for panes from about 4 to 30mm; very thick or wide-gap units may be too far apart for the magnets.
Does it leave streaks?
Once you've practiced the technique it can be streak-free, but rushed or on the wrong setting it streaks — go slow with overlapping passes.
