Best for: Best for berries and grapes you'd otherwise just rinse under the tap and hope for the best.

Our review
I used to just rinse fruit under the tap and call it done. This bowl has a hand-cranked agitator with soft bristles and TPE tabs inside, so turning the crank tumbles and scrubs the fruit through the water from all sides — noticeably more thorough at lifting dirt, grit and residue off grapes or berries than a quick rinse. The clean-base doubles as a colander, so the dirty water drains away when you lift the basket out.
It's manual (no electricity) and the water genuinely comes out grimy, which is satisfying. But at 4.0 stars from only ~200 ratings, the honest caveats matter. The big one: load it lightly. Pack in a whole carton of strawberries and the crank barely turns — you get the best clean with small batches, which means the 'wash a family's worth at once' impression oversells it. The build is also on the cheap side (the handle especially), it's bulky to store, and very soft fruit like raspberries can bruise. For small-to-medium round produce, though, it beats hand-rinsing piece by piece.

FAQ
Does it actually clean better than rinsing?
Yes — the crank tumbles and scrubs the produce through the water from all sides, lifting far more dirt than a quick tap rinse.
How much can I wash at once?
Load it lightly — small to medium batches. A full carton of strawberries jams the crank, so do it in a few goes.
Is it electric?
No, it's a manual hand-crank, so there's no cord or batteries.
Can I use it for vegetables or eggs?
Yes — it works for small veg, cherry tomatoes and even washing eggs, not just fruit.
